May 14th marks International Paper Flower Day worldwide: an event that unites artists, hobbyists, and designers passionate about this refined, poetic, and surprising art form.

Established in 2019 by artist Kate Alarcón (with whom we developed some colors for our 'Artistic 90g'), the day celebrates the global community of paper flower makers. The date of May 14th was chosen to honor the birth of Mary Delany, a pioneer of botanical collage in the 18th century.

We at Cartotecnica Rossi enthusiastically participate in this day: our Italian crepe paper and tissue paper have always stood by those who turn paper into emotion. The quality of our collections is recognized and appreciated all over the world: over the years, our papers have shaped peonies, camellias, buttercups, anemones, and dream bouquets, signed by extraordinary artists.

We are happy to see our papers featured in the international community as well: from special events such as the CBS Sunday Morning service to the many posts shared with the hashtag #InternationalPaperFlowerDay, paper creations continue to enchant and inspire.

On this day, we invite all paper lovers to create, share, and tag us in their floral works: let's celebrate together the power of craftsmanship and imagination.

Beauty can come from a simple sheet of paper.
With hands. With creativity.
