Cartotecnica Rossi in Iceland with Catherine Oxley and her paper flowers
From June 20 to 22, 2025, the magic of Italian crepe paper reached Iceland thanks to Catherine Oxley, known on social media as BOUQ Paper Flowers, an internationally renowned artist and teacher.
With her International Paper Flower Workshop 2025, hosted at Safnahúsið – The House of Collections in Reykjavík, Catherine brought together paper flower enthusiasts from around the world for three days of training and inspiration.
Cartotecnica Rossi had the pleasure of supporting the event as a technical sponsor, providing a wide selection of crepe papers used exclusively during the workshop: Superior Florist 180g, Artistic 90g, and Hobby 60g, accompanied by new displays with color indexes, designed to showcase the full range of our shades.
Catherine expressed great enthusiasm for the collaboration, emphasizing how Cartotecnica Rossi's participation added value and meaning to the project. The participants, in turn, appreciated the quality of the papers and the practicality of the display boxes: an elegant way to discover and store the entire collection of our colors.
During the three-day workshop, attendees created peonies, roses, and Cymbidium orchids, experimenting with the versatility and quality of crepe paper. Each creation represented not only an artistic exercise, but also a moment of connection, discovery, and personal pride.
Catherine Oxley is one of the artists who best represents Cartotecnica Rossi's values: dedication, aesthetic research, attention to detail, and a desire to build community.
